Franklin Mora supports Open Road as an Investment Principal after working in Investment Banking at Wells Fargo Securities. There he worked on providing advisory services and creating financial models for companies ranging from large-cap telecommunications to diversified media focused on debt and equity raises, M&A, and IPOs.

 

Previously, Franklin worked as Deputy Director for the Queens Economic Development Corporation where he developed an award-winning Social Enterprise program helping Immigrant entrepreneurs in the construction contracting sector within New York City. Franklin has worked for and consulted with companies including Google, NBCUniversal, ACCION USA, and Cisneros Group of Companies as well as small businesses and social enterprises located domestically and in emerging markets.

 

Franklin is an MLT fellow alum, Consortium fellow alum, and NLC fellow alum. Outside of work Franklin spends time in the woods with his dog Oscar, checking out new ethnic restaurants, reading recommended books, and planning his next adventure. Fun fact: Franklin lived out his teenage dream of becoming a rapper by performing to a crowded venue of over 200 people during business school with a band called “Risky Business.”

 

Franklin holds an MBA from the University of Michigan – Ross School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
